The Born–Oppenheimer approach to quantum cosmology

چکیده

The scope of this paper is to compare two different approaches for solving the Wheeler-DeWitt (WDW) equation in presence homogeneous matter (inflaton) and perturbations around it. standard Born-Oppenheimer (BO) decomposition, which consists factorizing out gravitational wave function then defining flow time through it, a more general BO decomposition where whole minisuperspace factorized out. are compared, simplicity, case minimally coupled inflaton with flat potential. consistency latter checked against former by comparing resulting perturbation (Mukhanov-Sasaki) equations. Finally few solutions WDW not suitable traditional treatment presented corresponding Mukhanov-Sasaki equations evaluated.
